Elizabeth is an alternative dispute resolution (ADR) professional who is currently a Director in the Commercial Division of the American Arbitration Association. Prior to launching her ADR career, Elizabeth was an account executive working in the New York City couture bridal and contemporary womenswear market. About ten years ago Elizabeth shifted her focus and returned to Rhode Island to attend Roger Williams University School of Law where she had the opportunity to intern with a Superior Court Justice who was leading a pilot program in the Massachusetts court systems designed to encourage mediation prior to litigation. While in law school Elizabeth studied mediation and assisted in family law mediations in Newport County. She also received the Kathleen M. Birt Memorial Dispute Resolution Prize, and CALI distinction for her mediation studies. In addition to her law degree, Elizabeth received a Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations and Marketing Communications with a minor in graphic design, from Simmons College in Boston, MA. Elizabeth lives in Tiverton with her husband and two young sons. She enjoys swimming (in the ocean), yoga, meandering hikes, travel, experimenting with cooking, reading and spending time outside.
