Director of Access to Justice Office, Rhode Island Supreme Court
Tamera N. Rocha, Esq., is the Director of the Access to Justice Office at the Rhode Island Supreme Court where she oversees language access services for court users and litigants with limited English proficiency, compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, and the expansion of services and resources for self-represented litigants through collaboration with traditional and non-traditional community partners. Prior to serving as the Director of the Access to Justice Office, Tamera served as a staff attorney in the Rhode Island Supreme Court Office of General Counsel.
Tamera is a member of the United States District Court for the District of Rhode Island Court Advisory Council where she serves on the education and access to justice subcommittees. Prior to serving as a member of the Advisory Council, Tamera was appointed to the U.S. District Court for the District of Rhode Island Local Rules Review Committee, where she served as a committee member from 2015 to 2021.
Tamera received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Central Michigan University, where she was a standout track and field athlete earning NCAA Division IA All-American honors and the Bill Bowden Leadership recipient for her community involvement, leadership, and athletic accomplishments. Tamera lives in Crantson with her husband and two children. She enjoys traveling and reading.
